Ultralight Fishing with Tiny Minnows

Fall is one of the best times of year to go fishing. The catch is those cold mornings in the high 30s and low 40s, when the fish just don’t want to commit. When it gets like that, I size way down.

In this video I take the tiny [Mule Minnows from Mule Fishing] out on the ultralight on a cold October morning to see what it takes to get bites.

If you’re dealing with slow, cold-water bites this fall, downsizing to a micro plastic is one of the most reliable ways to keep putting fish in your hand. Pick one that’s durable, too, so the little guys don’t tear it up every cast.
