My first outing with Artificial Fishing! We headed out on October 24, 2026, for an evening bass fishing session from 2:30 to 6 p.m., putting nine fish in the boat before calling it a day.

Kevin and I have different fishing styles, and it was fun sharing the boat and seeing how we each approach the water. Kevin landed the biggest bass of the outing at about three pounds, the fish featured in the thumbnail. This was our first time fishing together, and hopefully the first of many trips.

The water level has been dropping quickly, adding another change to keep track of as fall continues. With algae and weed treatments scheduled for October 30–31 and the lake closing during that time, I’m curious to see how the bite looks on the next trip.
