Can We Find the Bass at Dungeness?

Join Ben for an afternoon of Bass fishing at Dungeness, Kent, as we head to this unique stretch of coastline hoping to find some fish! 🎣

It’s a beautiful sunny day, although the strong wind makes conditions challenging. There’s plenty of wildlife to enjoy along the way, including seals, little gulls and a particularly special sighting of a rare Black-throated Diver.

With some promising recent catch reports, we arrive at Dungeness with high hopes of finding Bass. The fishing proves difficult, however, and after a quiet start Ben catches a small Whiting. Rather than waste the opportunity, he quickly puts it on a live-bait rig in the hope of tempting a bigger Bass or even a Conger Eel.

Can the live bait bring in the fish we’re looking for? We keep at it until the end of the session, exploring the mark and enjoying everything this fascinating part of the Kent coast has to offer.
