I caught The RAREST Fish From This Secret Urban Lake in Melbourne!

I headed out for some Melbourne fishing in an urban lake despite the recent heavy rain to hunt for a 50cm Redfin Perch throwing some lures. This trip explores how to adapt your presentation when conditions are tough.

This session takes us into the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia where we explore the productive potential of an urban lake. Even with rivers currently unnavigable, I test out a specific grub lure to see if the local species are still biting. You will see the practical side of targeting fish in these accessible metropolitan zones, including the gear I chose for this particular trip.

By following this outing, you will get a clear view of how to adapt your strategy when weather conditions change. I break down the process of reading the water to find active fish in these urban waterways, ensuring you have the right setup for your next outing. Securing this rare fish catch was a highlight, and it proves that these spots can surprise you if you put in the time.
