Catching Topwater Schooling Bass, Early October Fishing Report for Lake Guntersville with John Cox

I got off work a little early on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 29th, and we decided we had to go to the Lake. The weather was perfect…low humidity, cool, and not a cloud in the sky! We tried to do some punching for about an hour, but the area we were in was unproductive. We made a last minute move to an area where I thought there would be some schooling bass and Bingo! A good fisherman would have loaded the boat, but we managed to catch a couple schoolers before it got dark on us.

Back at the ramp, we ran into John Cox! He was finishing up his practice day out on Lake Guntersville in preparation for the Ultimate Angler Championship. While I was trailering the boat, he was gracious enough to do a quick interview with Ethan.
