Day 2 of my challenge to catch every species in Winfield Lake turned into a battle with the wind! With gusts around 20–30 mph, my little kayak and I were struggling—but the largemouth bass gave me a reason to stick around.

I landed a 3.5-pound bass and a 21-inch largemouth weighing 4.25 pounds, checking another species off the list! Two other big ones got away, and yes… we’re watching those heartbreaks again in slow motion. 😂

Between fighting the wind, trying to position the kayak, and keeping these fish hooked, this day made me work for it.

What species do you think will give me the most trouble before these 10 days are up?
