Cornwall Bonito Fight Like Crazy!

I wanted to share this video simply to show just how hard Bonito fight!
I was already having an amazing day lure fishing for bass in Cornwall and, by this stage, I’d landed 12 bass.
Earlier in the session I hooked into an absolute beast. The fight was on another level and I genuinely thought I was attached to a potential record bass — but unfortunately, I lost it.
Around 20 minutes later, it happened again.
Another savage take, the rod bent over and a fish that just didn’t want to stop. After losing the previous one, I was convinced I’d hooked another seriously big bass.
It turned out to be a Bonito!
If you’ve never hooked one of these before, they are incredibly powerful fish. The speed and sustained runs are something else, particularly on relatively light bass tackle.
It certainly explained what I’d hooked — and possibly what I’d lost 20 minutes earlier!
