Muskegon River, Michigan – We Went Fishing For Whatever Would Bite

A summer evening on the Muskegon River with good friends turned into an unexpected multi-species fishing adventure. We caught 6 different species of fish—and came close to 7—including smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, bluegill, perch, rock bass, and northern pike. We also hooked two walleye that managed to get away!

The northern pike were the biggest fish of the evening, and I even caught an impressive 12-inch perch. Just a great night of Michigan fishing, friends, and getting outside to enjoy what the Muskegon River has to offer.
