A Dick’s Sporting Goods employee picked the $16 6th Sense The Abstract 12 in green pumpkin—and it caught two South Florida peacock bass almost immediately. This is Episode 3 of Stud or Stinker?, where a store employee chooses the only lure I’m allowed to fish.

Finding someone to help wasn’t easy, but eventually I met Tyler. He kindly agreed despite having no fishing experience and chose the lure because it was apparently a popular pick.

The first fish came within five minutes, followed by another shortly afterward. The lure worked—but was it worth $16?
