Summer Bass Fishing in the Dog Days After Losing My Dog

Summer bass fishing in the dog days is tough – slow bite, hot water, and an emotional day on the water for me.

After having to put our dog down last week, I just needed to get out and do some fishing here in Middle Tennessee. I managed a couple of bass on a slow summer grind, but honestly this trip was more about clearing my head than catching numbers.
