A few years ago, I took a fishing trip to Florida with one goal: catch some bass.

But the trip turned into much more than that.

I caught a few bass, found a gar, and had one unforgettable encounter with a huge alligator. After an unexpected fight, the line eventually broke and the alligator got away.

And then came the highlight of the trip…

I caught my first bass over 60 cm — a 61 cm bass! 🎣🔥

Not everything went according to plan, but that’s what made this Florida fishing trip so memorable.
