The BEST John Heinz Fishing Video (MONSTER Snakehead, HUGE Bass, Bowfin & Shad)

John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most popular fishing destinations in the Philadelphia area, but much of the refuge’s trail system is about to close for a year. This made me want to create the best John Heinz fishing video that I could. Join me as I utilize different lures, techniques, and fishing methods to catch a variety of fish species.

In this video I showcase some incredible catches including:

4 Northern Snakehead — including the biggest snakehead I’ve caught in 2026

A huge Largemouth Bass — and my first bass caught on an artificial topwater frog

Two incredibly rare fish that many people don’t know exist in John Heinz — a Shad and a Bowfin

From snakehead fishing to topwater frog fishing, this park produced an incredible variety of fish and some catches I’ll remember for a life time.

With much of John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge expected to be closed to fishing for an extended period, this video is my chance to document what fishing there was like before the closures.
