AFTA Tackle Show 2026 | New Fishing Gear & Tackle

The AFTA Tackle Show is back for 2026, and this year I headed up to Brisbane to check out some of the new fishing gear coming our way for the rest of the year!

AFTA is an annual trade show where fishing brands showcase their latest products to retailers. The event runs over three days, with the first two days focused on retailers meeting with brands and checking out the new products they can stock, followed by a public day where anglers and punters can come along and see the latest fishing gear for themselves.

While I would love to film every single stand at the show, unfortunately that’s just not realistic. Most brands are flat out with retailer meetings, not everyone is comfortable being on camera, and ultimately the show is there for brands to sell their products to retailers rather than entertain YouTubers. So I’ve picked out some of the stands and gear that caught my attention.

In this video I check out what was on offer from Bite Science, Malosi, Nomad Design, Irukandji Tackle, Shimano, Tackle Tactics and Viva Fishing, along with plenty of other fishing gear throughout the show.

On the public day I spent the day at the Bite Science stand. A massive thank you to everyone who came past, said hello and had a chat. It was awesome meeting so many of you in person!
