2026 Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division Tournament Results and Points Standings in photos

Well, I had a heck of a year for have only been fishing for 2 years. My very 1rst fishing tournament ever was with the Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division in Jan. 2024. We did not catch a fish. It was extremely cold and I have problems being outside in the cold. That was the only tournament we fished with the XBS that year. Then I took 2025 off from the XBS and fished in some local tournaments to get some experience. I was able to finish in the money a few times in 2024 and in 2025 with several tournament wins. I fished mostly with my cousin Terrell Rose.

In 2026 I teamed with Carlos Gonzalez to fish the Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division with plans to fish all 9 tournaments. Things were going good too. Our first tournament on the South Chain, we caught 20 bass but our best 5 only weighed 9.01 pounds and that hurt. We had pre-fished it a week earlier and it is what I consider my home lakes. We had some spots, but we found the nursery that day, with no baby sitters. Then we had Back to Back Wins, which no one else did and we were one of two teams to win two tournaments. We had a 6th after that. But then I had a melt down over something stupid. Strokes have caused my brain to act up now and then. This was one of those times and it was 100% my fault. Carlos is one heck of a co-angler and angler in general. He has his own boat as well. He was great to fish with and I wish him nothing but the best. He teamed up with his old partner Mike and they are doing well. Now I have to fish against them. LOL We are holding our own but he and Mike have had some wins. Please understand, Carlos was innocent, I wigged out. We still chat and fish the same tournaments. I know if I need help with something on the lake, Carlos and Mike will help us out. Rob as well. No hard feeling here.

After Carlos left, I got my cousin to jump in and fish with me as an alternate and help me finish out the season. I really wanted to fish all 9 tournaments, but I do not tow and launch a boat. Even though it is my boat. I am not the one you want backing down the boat ramp first thing in the morning or afternoon for that. It might take me 45 minutes or more. Just saying. I had a tough call and I know it hurt Terrell a bit but he is family and understood why I did it.

For the 8th stop which was on the North Chain of Lakes, I was in 4th place with a chance to move up to 3rd place with a strong finish. We know the North Chain somewhat and have a few spots, but nothing super great. There is a 19 year old hammer who knows the NC pretty well and actually knows how to scope, which I do not. Tanner the Hammer White, which is the name I have given him, Tanner has several spots on the North Chain and knows how to catch toads. My plan was to ask him to fish with me as an alternate and hopefully we could have a good finish and maybe even win it. The plan almost worked out 100%. A dead fish stopped it from working out 100%. When people I fish with found out I had recruited TTHW, they knew he could be a threat. We ended up finishing in 2nd place, we had the most weight, but 1 fished died and it cost us a half pound and we ended up losing by less than 1oz. The real kick in the butt to me is, Tanner had 2 studs I missed with the net. One I missed and as he went to bring it back by, it popped off, the 2nd he was bringing it to the net and as he went to lift it a bit, the monster jumped up and broke him off and flew over the net. I tried to reach out and catch it but it was just out of reach. Either of those and we win hands down. It was a 3 fish limit and we would have had 17 or 18 pounds. He caught a 6lb, 5lb and a 3lber and the ones I missed were 5 or better. Sorry Tanner the Hammer White. Or if the fish don’t die we win. I am not going to lie, I shed some tears when I got to the truck. I blew the win for us and it still stings.

I want to give a super big shout-out to Brian Stahl and the Xtreme Bass Series Team for all they did for us anglers and for running great tournaments. Keep up the aesome work.

There is a 2 day Classic on the Big O in October. I thought I heard Brian say there would probably be over 125 boats. It seems like he said more. I have never fished a tournament with that many boats in it or been in my boat around that many boats.
