We Caught Ditch Pickles ALL DAY! 😂 | Louisiana Bass Fishing
Today Wyatt and I hit the water in Southern Louisiana to do a little bass fishing—and we ended up catching “ditch pickles” all day! 😂🎣

The action stayed steady, and that’s one of the things I love most about fishing. You never really know what’s going to happen, and every cast becomes a little chess match between you and the fish.

But we also had something happen during the day that I want to hear YOUR opinion about.

While Wyatt and I were catching fish, another boat came in pretty close to where we were fishing. That got me thinking: How close is too close when you see someone catching fish?

We all know fishing spots aren’t owned by anybody, and there’s plenty of water out there. But there’s also an unwritten etiquette among fishermen about giving somebody some space when they’re already working an area.

So what do YOU think?

How close is too close? Is it okay to move in on somebody who’s catching fish, or should you give them some room and find your own water?

Let me know in the comments. I’d really like to hear what other fishermen think.

During the video, I also show you an 8.13-pound bass I caught a couple of years ago not far from where Wyatt and I were fishing today. That fish brings back some great memories and shows just how good the bass fishing can be right here in Southern Louisiana.

At 69 years old and retired, I’m enjoying this stage of life more than ever. Fishing with my grandson, being outdoors, and enjoying the adventure is what retirement is all about for me.

And one thing I’ve learned over the years:

DON’T OVERCOMPLICATE FISHING.

Sometimes the best way to catch fish is to keep it simple, pay attention to what the fish are telling you, and enjoy the chess match.

You simply cannot beat Southern Louisiana when it comes to the amount of incredible fisheries we have right here.

Thanks for coming along with Wyatt and me. I hope you enjoy the video—and don’t forget to tell me what YOU think about the boat situation!
