August Heat & Summer Rain: A Lesson in Choices and Big Bass

Fishing in August can be some of the toughest fishing of the year. You need to be responsible for the decisions you make when going out in the heat of summer. Bring plenty of water; wear clothes that keep you cool and protect yourself from the sun. I have to make certain changes to my lure selection and lure color to help me put a few bass in the boat. I try to keep an open mind and make changes when needed. Also, be responsible when the weather turns bad and get off the water, making good decisions so I can fish another day.
