Anthony finally got me at Lake Perris!

We decided to stay shallow for this outing, and Anthony came out swinging. He landed five bass before I could even put my first fish in the boat. By the end of the trip, Anthony finished with six fish while I managed just one.

This was the first time Anthony has ever outfished me like this, and I couldn’t have picked a better day for him to do it. He was making the right casts, putting his bait in the right places, and taking full advantage of the shallow bite. His first fish also ended up being the best fish of the outing.

Sometimes you’re the guy catching them, and sometimes you get a front-row seat while your fishing buddy puts on a clinic. I definitely got humbled on this one, but we had a great time and plenty of laughs along the way.
