My Minimalist Bass Fishing Grab & Go Kit | Everything I Actually Need
I’ve put together a new minimalist Grab & Go bass fishing setup for summer 2026.
The whole idea is to keep a small, ready-to-go setup in the car so that if I’ve only got 30 minutes or an hour to fish, I can grab the bag, travel rod, reel and compact net and get moving without carrying loads of tackle.
Inside the bag I’ve tried to cover as many situations as possible with as little gear as possible.
I’ve got a couple of metal lures including a Savage Gear Seeker 16g, a Xorus Patchinko 100 for topwater fishing, plus a small selection of soft plastics already rigged on weedless hooks and jigheads.
That gives me options for covering water, fishing on the surface, working different depths and fishing around weed without needing a huge lure collection.
