I Fished Waitts Lake All Morning… BIG Mistake?

7 hours. 4 fish. 2 species. And a whole lot of patience.

I hit Waitts Lake in Washington just after sunrise expecting a productive morning of fishing. Instead, the bite was painfully slow.

After trolling for trout and finally putting a couple rainbows in the boat, I decided it was time to switch things up and go after bass.

That decision produced… well… two of the smallest bass I’ve ever caught. 😂

But that’s fishing. You don’t always get the big fish or the perfect day. Sometimes you have to adapt, keep grinding, and make the most of what the lake gives you.
