Can I Find Quality Fish? | St. Johns River Bass Tournament

I’m back on the St. Johns River for a bass tournament with the Quit Wishing & Go Fishing Bass Club!

We launched at safe light and I headed down the river into Six Mile Creek looking for a way to put together a solid limit. I started the day catching my first fish on a minnow, but eventually found that a small Coike was the key to getting bites.

I caught quite a few fish throughout the day, but finding the quality I needed was the challenge. Then, with about an hour and a half left in the tournament, a nasty storm moved in and forced me to leave the area that had produced most of my fish.

I headed back toward Trout Creek, where we launched, and finished out the tournament in the rain trying to put together a bigger bag.
