The two-horse race between Cole Floyd and Jeff Sprague continued with Sprague starting out in the lead but Floyd ultimately surpassing him to claim the automatic berth to Championship Sunday. The duo generated a lead of more than 40 pounds over third place with Floyd leading the charge with 168 pounds, 4 ounces on 63 scorable bass to Sprague’s 150-14 on 46 scorable bass.

Meanwhile, the Lucas Oil Cut Line was an ever-moving target that jumped from 33-12 at the end of Day 1 to 74-3 with several anglers within striking distance until lines out. Ultimately, Ott DeFoe ended the day exactly where he started – in a very suspenseful 25th-place position, claiming the final seat in the Knockout Round with three anglers a single scorable bass away.
