🎣 UK Sea Fishing | Shore Fishing UK | Sussex Coast | Rare Fish Catch

What started as an ordinary night of UK shore fishing on the Sussex coast turned into one of the most unexpected fishing sessions I’ve ever been part of.

Ryan invited me to fish one of his favourite marks, and neither of us could have predicted what he was about to pull from the sea…

Out of respect for the time and effort Ryan has put into finding this mark, I’ve kept the location private and filmed the session entirely from my chest camera.

Early in the session we were convinced Ryan had hooked into a decent bass, only for a conger eel to eventually appear. But as the flooding tide pushed us further up the beach, his rod went again — and this time something very different was waiting in the surf.

At first, we genuinely believed we were looking at a bass.

Then we started looking closer…

The scales didn’t look right. The mouth was different. Neither of us had seen anything quite like it before.

What followed was a night neither of us will forget, as we tried to work out exactly what Ryan had caught and slowly began to realise just how unusual this fish could be.

This is exactly why I started documenting my journey into sea fishing — you genuinely never know what the next cast might produce.
