Which lure retrieve catches more UK sea bass: sink and draw or a straight retrieve?

In this video we tested both retrieve techniques side by side in a real on-the-water UK bass fishing experiment. we used the same style of soft plastic setup and changed the presentation , lifting and dropping the lure with the sink-and-draw method, then fishing it on a straight, steady retrieve at a consistent pace.

The aim was simple: keep as much as possible the same and find out whether retrieve style changes the number of follows, bites and landed bass.

Sink and draw gives the lure repeated lifts, drops and pauses through the water. A straight retrieve sometimes called a steady or linear retrieve , keeps the lure moving at a more consistent speed. Both methods can catch fish, but does one presentation perform better when tested during the same UK sea bass fishing session?
