Fishing with Jigs and Worms | Summer Bass Fishing
Fishing for largemouth bass with jigs and soft plastic worms in the summer. I started out skipping docks and fishing lay downs with a jig and throwing a topwater walking bait. I ended up catching one small bass on a jig under a dock. I also tried some other reaction baits and fished offshore with a few different baits but didn’t get any bites.
I changed to a Texas rigged worm and started concentrating on lay down trees and ended up catching a few more bass.
I used a 1/2 oz Dirty Jigs compact pitching jig with a Berkley Pit Boss for a trailer. For the Texas Rig I used a Googan Slim Shake Junebug colored worm on a 3/0 owner all purpose hook with a 3/16 oz tungsten bullet weight. The topwater bait was a Yo-Zuri pencil popper 135.
