Rumors of giant smallmouth bass have been living in this river for years — but I’ve never fished it myself, until now. In today’s video, I explore a brand new stretch of river for the first time, hoping to finally put those rumors to the test.

Along the way, I cook lunch right on the riverbank, stumble across some interesting lost items, and even run into an injured deer during the exploration. It turned into one of the most unpredictable and fun days I’ve had chasing smallmouth bass.
