Welcome back to Call of the Outdoors! In this episode, I explore Folsom, California to see what the city’s public bank fishing has to offer. I fished Willow Hill Reservoir, Willow Springs Reservoir, and Folsom Lake, targeting bluegill using a 1-inch Flex Bug on a 1/80 oz jighead with ultralight tackle.

Along the way I share the techniques that produced fish, including why casting at an angle along rocky banks increased bites, when to switch lure colors in dirty water, and why black lures often outperform lighter colors in stained conditions. I also discuss finding active fish, exploring new water, and how location can make all the difference.
