In this episode, I explore Buckley Cove in Stockton, California, a new fishing location I have never tried before. I was able to find some quality-sized bluegill hiding along the rocky shoreline and had a great day catching them on a simple 1-inch white Flex Bug.

I tested different bluegill fishing techniques, including letting the bait fall to the bottom and allowing fish to pick it up, as well as presenting the lure directly in front of active fish. These techniques can work anywhere bluegill are found, whether you are fishing lakes, ponds, rivers, or canals.

Most of the fish were holding close to shore around large rocks and crevices where they could hide. Sometimes the best bluegill spots are much closer than you think!
