Tournament Bass Fishing in a Jon Boat at Hollis Q Lathem, Georgia
Electric Fishing Series | Season 1 Episode 1
Last summer we designed the 1436 Weekend Warrior kit as a DIY buildable kit for the Tracker Topper 1436 that can be finished in a weekend. Since the completion of this build, we have been getting a lot of questions about how this boat performs in the water since the additions.
I thought there was no better way to show you than to put it through the test of competing in tournament trails.
I signed up for 2 trails this year. The Electric Fishing Series, which consists of the best Electric Only Jon Boat Anglers in the state of Georgia and the Slay Nation Small Vessel Series which is a really really good beginner trail for anyone with a Jon Boat looking to get into tournament bass fishing.
Follow along as we fish these trails to see how the boat performs and hear what we like and don’t like about this kit to see if it will be a good option for your own 1436.
We will be using an Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 as the electric outboard and main source of propulsion to and from spots. We have a MotorGuide Xi3 as a bow mount trolling motor. The decking material is 2″ Teak Cut HydroTurf. Livewell cooler is a Coleman 70quart cooler.
