St Clair Bass Fishing Report #11 07 10 2026

Pick an area of Lake St. Clair to fish for smallmouth bass, and they will probably be there. This report covers as far up the St. Clair River as Fawn Island, plus some of the biggest bass recorded this year, in the Lake. This report will also help competitive anglers dial in hot zones where they can be confident to be around winning fish! We are still seeing some post-spawn hesitation in the bite, but I have a couple of solutions for that. The mayfly hatch continues and unfortunately, the black flies are out for blood. This is a great year to be out on Lake St. Clair fishing for smallmouth bass, especially if you love to explore new water, like me! God bless, and good fishing!
