Fishing in Wales Was NOT What I Expected!

I jumped in the motorhome on my own and headed to Wales for a few days of sea fishing.

The plan was simple — target tope, try for bass, pick up some peeler crab, find some fresh mackerel, and make a proper fishing adventure out of it.

As always, fishing had other ideas.

This trip had a bit of everything: a solo motorhome mission, farm parking, Welsh rock marks, scary ledges, wind, rain, soaked gear, peeler crab, tiny fish, desperate bait choices, and one of those sessions where you quickly realise you probably should have checked the conditions before setting off.

Not every fishing trip goes to plan, but that’s half the story. You get out, you try, you learn, you laugh at yourself, and you go again.

Would you have stuck it out or headed home?
