Canyon Lake Bass Fishing – How'd I Do?

No big plan for this Canyon Lake trip — just wanted to fish and actually pay attention to what my Humminbird graphs were showing me instead of glancing past them. Found a hydrilla cove that produced early, including a 15-16 inch bass that came off right at the boat. A nearby point with different vegetation produced nothing. Then found a rocky point with a ledge dropping from 2 feet to 40 feet, lined with standing timber that showed up incredibly clear on down imaging. Walking through what worked, what didn’t, and what the sonar taught me.

Heads up if you’re headed to Canyon right now — Ramp 18 is the only one open, $5 for Comal County residents, $20 for everyone else.
