Bassin Idaho Ep 1 Map Scouting Pays Off!

After catching a couple of pike on a beautiful Idaho day, I decided to leave my original launch area and head to a location I had previously identified during map scouting. The water near the launch was dark and heavily covered with pollen, making conditions less than ideal.

Trusting the map research paid off. Once I arrived at the new location, I quickly found the bass I had been searching for. Within just 5 to 10 minutes, I landed a couple of largemouth bass and followed it up with a solid smallmouth bass. This action starts at 09:00 if you want to fast forward to it.

This episode highlights how important map reconnaissance, adapting to water conditions, and trusting your instincts can be when targeting bass in Idaho waters.
