2 Hours of Bass Fishing! Urban Backyard Pond Challenge

I only had about two hours before dark, so I headed to a friend’s backyard ponds to see what kind of fishing action I could find before the sun went down.
The heat was brutal, the fish were picky, and finding the right presentation took a little experimenting. I started with a finesse jig and had plans to throw a Walmart spinnerbait, but the grass and the bass had other ideas.
Eventually, I switched over to a Senko, and that’s when things started coming together.
By the end of the evening, I had landed around a dozen bass in a fast-paced “beat the clock” fishing session.
Nothing giant today, but when you’ve only got a couple hours after work, a dozen bass isn’t a bad way to spend an evening.
It just goes to show you don’t need a secret swamp or a boat to find constant action—sometimes the best fishing is right in your own backyard.
