FISHING & CAMPING in the California desert

Took the kayak to our favorite fishing spot for a 3 day adventure out in the California desert. Normally we have 15 – 20 fish days at this place but due to a recent wildfire and subsequent toxic rain runoff, a recent full moon, and unpredicted high winds the fishing was not good. Hopefully it will make a recovery soon. I will probably give it a year or two to recover before I come back. Time to try some new desert fishing spots!

The eastern border or California has some fantastic fishing. Bring your bass and catfish gear if you go.
