I Purchased an Ultra-Light Rod w/Reel From Daiso?! YUP!
From The Daiso Store at Pearl City on Oahu, Hawaii!
I was really shocked to see actual fishing rods & reels today at Daiso. Normally it’s a small collection of fresh water lures at best. The rods are stamped at 6-1/2ft with an UL rating though it feels more like a ML to me. The unbranded spinning reel is definitely a 3000 size & has 100yd of pre-spooled clear monofilament line on it.
Just thought i’d share this as these items weren’t there about 4-months prior. I did purchase 3 jigging/casting lures with rattling but we’ll see how the rod holds up to salt water conditions first. I must admit the spinning rod looks & feels quite solid! I’ve been sponsored several times by companies as big as Okuma USA so i do know a bit about fishing equipment.
I left all the miscellaneous items behind. Wasn’t turned on by flimsy thin wired hooks though the pre-made bait leaders looked ok. I do plan on using this equipment. Most likely to catch live bait.
