My FIRST Check in a Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament | PA River Smallmouth Action

I won my FIRST check in a kayak bass fishing tournament while fishing a shallow Pennsylvania river. A late topwater bite helped turn a slow day into a 3rd place finish and my first tournament payday.

After starting the morning with small fish and tough conditions, switching back to topwater completely changed the day. Fishing inches of water along the bank produced several key upgrades, including an 18¾ inch bass that helped secure a competitive limit.
