Nobody Fishes This Lake… But It Has GIANT Bass!

Today I tried fishing a lake that almost nobody talks about — Bell Cow Lake in Chandler, Oklahoma. I went out during the prespawn to see if the bass were moving shallow… and it turned into one of the best days I’ve had on the water.

This lake actually surprised me. Bell Cow is about 1,100 acres with standing timber, drop-offs, and a lot of good cover for bass. It’s even managed as a trophy bass fishery with a 22-inch minimum to keep, which means there are some quality fish swimming around here. ()

During the trip I ended up landing a new personal best largemouth bass (5.5 lbs) while fishing the prespawn pattern. Not bad for a lake that most anglers seem to overlook.

Maybe there are hidden gems like this all over Oklahoma… you just have to go explore them.
