Bass Fishing New Melones Lake California 03 12 2026

I headed up to the Mark Twain area of New Melones Lake for some Bass fishing. I went across the lake to the French Gulch area and fished to where Coyote Creek enters the lake. I ended the day with 10 Spots and 3 Largemouth, including one at 4.5 lbs and two at 3 lbs. I pored through the 10+ hours of video but was only able to locate 10 of the 13 fish. I tried a new way to mount one of my GoPro cameras using a suction mount. Something strange happened at the 4:50 mark. The front-mounted GoPro 12 changed exposure settings all by itself. I am not sure why. The only difference in the two camera settings was voice control. The rear turned off, and the front turned on. I turned it off for the next trip, and I locked the settings on both cameras. Hopefully that works. If there are any GoPro experts out there, please let me know what you think.
