In this video we attempt a one hour fishing challenge at Lake Mead to see what we can catch with very limited time on the water. We headed down to Hatchery Saddle Point, also known as Hatchery Cove or Saddle Cove, one of the most popular shore fishing spots at Lake Mead. This area has plenty of shoreline access and is known by local anglers for striped bass, catfish, carp, and other fish species that move through the coves along the lake.

With only 60 minutes to fish, we set up quickly and tried to make every cast count. Lake Mead fishing can be unpredictable, especially when you’re on a tight schedule, but that’s part of what makes these quick fishing trips fun. Whether you’re shore fishing Lake Mead, exploring new fishing spots in Nevada, or just curious what can happen during a one hour fishing challenge, this trip shows what’s possible when you get out and make the most of the time you have.
