It’s actually quite rare that I fish a lake just for fun; with no tournament or upcoming tournament on the lake. During the spawn though I just have to get out and try to catch as many big ol spawning females as possible! March 17th my uncle and I headed to Choke Canyon Reservoir to do just that and sight fish for some South Texas giants. When we got there we quickly realized it wasn’t going to be the day we thought it was…but we adjusted and landed some SOLID Choke Canyon bass!
