Catching BIG BASS in the Prespawn Transition! (Full Area Breakdown)
In today’s video, we are breaking down how to find and fish the prespawn transition zones to catch those giant bass moving toward the shallows. These areas are the “fish highways” located directly outside of spawning pockets. We’re looking for structure and cover with a bit of depth that leads the fish straight to their spawning grounds.
The best way to find these transitioning fish is by covering water, and there is no better tool for the job than a chatterbait. I’m using a 3/8 oz chatterbait with a Zoom Original Fluke trailer to mimic the baitfish these bass are feeding on.
Whether you’re fishing secondary points, creek channel swings, or isolated wood, understanding these transition areas is the key to a successful prespawn season!
