First fishing trip of 2026 (Wintertime bass fishing)

Went kayak bass fishing on January 9th of the new year (2026). At that time, I hadn’t fished in a few weeks, so the game plan I went in with had to be changed, but I made the adjustment and started putting fish in the boat. Caught my first 9 fish of the year in this one trip, versus my dad only caught one. Had a blast fishing with my dad, even if nothing was caught, it wouldve been a fun trip still. Also, an unexpected catch.
