BASS FISHING on Toledo Bend during a COLD FRONT

We are fishing Toledo Bend in this video. It was a very COLD and WINDY morning, and We fished in the boat ramp cove until it warmed up. A lot of anglers make the mistake of leaving the ramp. Lots of fish tend to hang around boat ramp coves.

We could have caught some in the grass as the grass patterns have been really strong but instead we used my livescope to target bass feeding on shad schools.

Cold fronts help bass suspend and it really gets them chasing shad.

One other thing to keep in mind is we want to practice catch and release during the spawn. Toledo has been in a downward spiral since 2018 and its up to us as the anglers to take care of the resource. Now is the time to practice catch and release until after the spawn is over.

We’ll see you guys on the water!
