Lake Elsinore tested me hard on this one 😅 I hooked into multiple fish and lost two that absolutely stung… but I kept grinding and one bass finally saved my day.

One thing that really stood out: other visitors were working the lake slower and seemed to be having more success. That’s a big takeaway for me. I might’ve been moving just a little too fast when the conditions called for a more patient approach.

This was one of those classic Elsinore outings where you have to earn every bite — missed chances, heartbreak at the bank, and then that one clutch fish that reminds you why you keep coming back.

Next time I’m planning to slow down, fish more deliberately, and let the bait soak a bit longer. And with any luck, the weather might line up in our favor and help turn those lost opportunities into landed fish.
