Florida Bass Nation State Championship Lake Okeechobee November 2025 Bass Tournament

I fished the Florida Bass Nation State Championship on Lake Okeechobee on November 1st & 2nd, 2025. Bass Fishing on Lake Okeechobee this week was on fire. The fish have moved into spawn heavy pretty much everywhere in the waters less than 2ft from Horse Island to Buck Head Ridge. It was about a year since I have been to Okeechobee and the amount of new grass from the lower water levels is very encouraging for the future of Okeechobee Bass fishing. I got most of my best bites on swimming Florida style Paddle Tail Swimbaits like a Gambler Big EZ and Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper. I found some early spawners flipping reeds and cattails with a Black/Blue Flake Blue tail senko with an 3/8oz weight. Due to primarily North and Northwest winds most of the month I found that these areas are very protected with the cleanest water on the lake. There is vast areas of eel grass and hay grass that is all new growth in the areas.
