S1:E24 Fall fishing at Lake Perris didn’t go as planned — but sometimes the slowest days teach you the most.
The bite was tougher than expected for this time of year, but I was able to find a few schools of bass chasing bait and pick them off with a crankbait from the kayak. The fall transition has the bass roaming, suspending, and chasing shad, so every fish was earned.

But once I finally found a group of baitfish getting pushed up, everything changed. I was able to trigger a few key bites on a crankbait, targeting schooling fish that were feeding fast and moving even faster. This video breaks down how I located the bait, how I adjusted during a tough fall session, and how I used my kayak setup to stay on the school long enough to make something happen.
