Day 2 of the SoCal Kayak Anglers Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament Championship at Lower Otay Lake started off promising with a quick fish on the LiveScope — but things went downhill fast. After hours without a bite, the grind was real.

Just when it seemed like the bite was gone for good, I found a school of bass feeding on a baitball, and everything changed. I was able to fill my limit fast before the action slowed again. With time running out, I made one last move and was lucky enough to catch a last-minute upgrade, locking in a 5th place finish to close out the SCKA Championship weekend.
