Skinny Creek Bass Fishing Sunshine Coast (Sightcasting Bass)
While exploring around the Sunshine Coast chasing bass, I came across a skinny little creek I’d never seen before. The water was crystal clear, the kind that instantly makes you want to have a cast. I figured I’d flick a few from the bank, and on the first few casts I got a big surface blow-up that missed the hooks. That was enough to get the heart going, so I grabbed the camera and started filming.
Not long after, I had another follow that i got on camera. That’s when I decided it was worth loading the kayak in and giving this hidden creek a proper explore. Once on the water, I realised just how shallow and clear it really was, you could see every log, every baitfish, and even the bass sitting under the shade.
The action didn’t take long to fire up. Fish were hitting lures off the surface, and the new Slick Slither lure proved it could get them riled up even in the tightest little pools. The combination of clear water, wild bass, and surface strikes made it one of those sessions that stick with you, a reminder that sometimes the best spots are the ones you just stumble across.
