Lake St. Clair Smallmouth Bass Fishing (5/9/25)

We went to St. Clair to get some early-season Smallmouth bass fishing in. We thought we were in for a great day when we hooked into a nice 4 lb. Smallie within the first few casts, but that was our lone fish for the next few hours.

We decided to move to a shallower area and ended up finding some bedding fish. We were able to salvage the day with a handful more fish in that area.

Most importantly, we were able to remove an 8′ long 2×12 from the water, so no one would hit it. I like to think we saved someone some headache, because that could have caused some serious damage…
