In this video we took the fjordling 17 out for the day from Redcliffe slip. Heading out towards Brownsea Castle where we dropped anchor.

We arrived around 9.30am setting up our gear and baiting up ready for a days fishing. A few rumbles in the sky and the heavens opened so we got the Bimini up fairly quickly and got inside the cuddy and waited for the rain to pass.

After maybe 10 -15 minutes of torrential rain the sun appeared and then we could lower the Bimini and continue with our fishing.

I was using the sonic sk4 spinning rod, with lightweight braid and a sidewinder lure. First cast I caught a bass, not big enough to keep but still around 1.5-2lb. We stayed here for an hour or so before heading out the harbour for some trolling near the entrance just outside the main channel. After no success and me having 6 bass, Martin having none, I gave him a side winder to try and he pretty much instantly caught a decent sized 3.5lb bass

We carried on trolling and spinning here for another hour before we went to goathorn where we caught several more, albeit smaller bass before heading back home

all in we caught 22 or 23 bass, it was a great days fishing and weather wise turned out ok
